All Engines must be returned fitted within 10 days for a full fitment inspection. Only once this has been done and a Motors and More staff member is satisfied with the installation and that all service parts have been fitted will the warranty then be in place. Please ensure that your invoice has been signed once inspected.

Automatic Gearboxes - 3 Month warranty and must be fitted by a recognised auto transmission specialist. RMI registered.

Manual Gearboxes - 3 month warranty and must be fittted by a RMI registered workshop.

Petrol Engines - 3 Month warranty and must be fitted by a RMI registered workshop.

Performance or Turbocharged Engines -  10 day start up warranty.

Diesel Engines - 1 Month warranty and must be fitted by a RMI registered workshop.

TERMS & CONDTIONS


PETROL ENGINES

Motors & More requires that all engines and gearboxes to be fitted by a workshop that is registered by RMI.

Petrol engines carry a 3 month warranty unless otherwise stated on your invoice.

Performance engines carry a 10 day start up guarantee.

All engines are to be brought back fitted within 10 days of purchase for an inspection and the following items must have been replaced : all oil seals, oil, oil filter, fuel filter, air filter, all belts including cambelt, spark plugs, thermostat. Radiators are to be cleaned by a recognised radiator specialist shop and cap to be replaced.

Any faulty or worn water pumps are to be replaced at the customer’s expense.

Please note that any damage caused by faulty water pump will not be covered by warranty as Water Pumps are not covered by our warranty.

It is the customer’s duty to ensure that the water temp gauge, oil pressure light and cooling fan is in working order.

It is the customer’s duty to ensure that the sump has no dents before fitment as Motors & More will not be held liable for damage to the engine due to oil starvation caused by a dented sump.

Once the engine has left the premises, Motors & More will not be able to exchange any auxiliary parts. Auxiliary parts include but are not limited to  –  crank sensor, turbocharger, solenoids, pulleys, tappet covers, oil sump, filter housing, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, injectors, plug leads, distributor cap, clutch and flywheel, throttle position sensor, knock, sensor, distributor, alternator, starter, power steering pump.

No Auxiliary Parts or Electrical Parts are covered by warranty.

Any engine that is used for a conversion or not for its original purpose has no guarantee. 

DIESEL ENGINES

The customer has to have the injectors tested and pump timing calibrated at their own expense.

All Diesel engines carry a 30 Day warranty unless otherwise stated on your invoice.

Once the engine has left the premises, Motors & More would not be able to exchange any auxiliary parts. / Auxiliary parts included but not limited to –  crank sensor, turbocharger, solenoids, pulleys, tappet covers, oil sump, filter housing, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, injectors, plug leads, distributor cap, clutch and flywheel, throttle position sensor, knock, sensor, distributor, alternator, starter, power steering pump.

No Auxiliary Parts or Electrical Parts are covered by warranty.

Any engine that is used for a conversion or not for its original purpose has no guarantee. 

GEARBOX

Any gearboxes being used in a modification or performance vehicles will automatically null and void their warranty on that gearbox.

The customer has to ensure that the vehicles prop shaft is correctly balanced as a broken or damaged extension housing due to an unbalanced prop shaft would result in a null and void warranty.

The customer has to fit a new spigot shaft bearing.

The warranty does not cover broken gears or burnt gearboxes due to low oil.

All oil seals need to be replaced with new seals before installation of the gearbox.

Ensure that all gearbox mountings are in good condition is the customer’s duty.

Only use the oil specified by the manufacturer, damage caused by incorrect oil use will not be covered under warranty.

Null and Void of Warranty

If we have identified during our inspection that the engine has been dismantled, stripped, modified, overheated, over revved or misused.

If the vehicle is not returned to Motors & More for inspection within 10 days of purchase date. 

Refunds

Motors & More is not liable for any labour charges, towing costs, freight charges, vehicle hire, downtime or loss of income due to the failure of a product.

All claims will be subject to a full inspection of the item being returned and will be processed within 72 hours.

Items are to be returned in the same condition as they were received. (Complete)

Please inspect your item prior to payment and acceptance of the item as all items are sold as is.(Second Hand)

Please be reminded that you are buying a second hand item which will always carry a risk factor to you.
